Teachingbooks.net is a literacy website created for educators and book enthusiasts as a way to interact, learn, and share insights for teaching and sharing books with authors.
The website offers its members access to thousands of books where numerous resources may be found. From the top four menus, one can locate a book by title, search a particular author and illustrator, search books by subject and also locate through booklists and awards. It is quite a user-friendly site, books can be found by grade level, subject and genre.
Resources on this website include book guides and lessons plans that provide educators with instructional support and ready to use material when creating literature unit plans. When a book is searched, immediately one can find a complete set of author resources that include audio interviews and insights, numerous lesson plans, reading guides, vocabulary activities and lists, the books audio, teacher notes and guides, etc.
Teachingbooks.net is also available to link to google classroom so educators are able to connect assignments and other material they would like to share with their students via this site. The entire website is a great resource when creating a unit for a particular book or would like to access complete material for personal use. It is a site with a concentration on literature and in-depth interviews with authors, discussions, and resources to titles searched.
